Leukoplast Wound Closure Suture Strips are sterile adhesive strips designed for closing small wounds and skin incisions. They function as a non-invasive alternative to traditional sutures, approximating wound margins without the need for stitches or local anesthesia. The backing consists of braided polyamide fabric coated with an acrylic adhesive, providing flexibility and adaptation to skin movements. Rounded ends help keep the strips in place and reduce the risk of detachment. The flexible structure allows it to follow the wound's evolution during healing, while the permeable material helps reduce the risk of skin maceration. The 6 x 75 mm strips are suitable for wounds requiring a longer strip to effectively approximate the margins. The product is sterile and latex-free.

Before application, thoroughly clean and dry the skin and ensure that the wound edges can be approximated without tension. Remove the strip from the protective film without touching the adhesive surface intended for the skin. Apply the strip across the wound, forming a 90-degree angle to the opening, applying slight tension to approximate the skin edges. When multiple strips are needed, apply them parallel to each other, maintaining regular spacing between them.

This device is intended for closing small, clean wounds with margins that can be approximated and without significant tension. Do not use on deep, heavily contaminated wounds, wounds with tissue loss, or when the margins cannot be adequately approximated. Do not use on infected skin or skin showing signs of infection. If the wound presents persistent bleeding, significant depth, bite marks, or signs of infection, it should be evaluated by a healthcare professional. The device is sterile and latex-free.
